Fibromyalgia Exercise
Although the following statement is opposite of what we learn, exercise with fibromyalgia
and chronic fatigue syndrome is counterproductive to health until homeostasis (balance)
of the nervous system is accomplished (see fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue
syndrome link).
Conventional exercise is not appropriate until the person is stable and the body
can easily handle the stress of exercise.
Proper stages of rehabilitation are as follows:
1. Remove the ischemia (inflammation/pain).
2. Restore proper biomechanics (proper body movement).
3. Restore flexibility (stretching).
4. Restore strength.
5. Restore endurance.
